Tertenia is a town in the Ogliastra area, in central-eastern Sardinia, with a myriad of surprising attractions, from beaches to forests. 100 kilometers away from both Cagliari and Nuoro, Tertenia is a town with an agro-pastoral tradition in the south of Ogliastra, populated by almost four thousand inhabitants. It stands in a valley, surrounded by the Monte Ferru complex, rich in woods and paths, by Taccu mannu and by Monte Arbu. The scenery is suggestive: the waters of the Quirra river, which crosses the town centre, its tributaries, vineyards and holm oak forests of Crabiolu, Fustiragili and Bingionniga, create chromatic variations from blue to green. In the background the limestone towers of the Tacchi d'Ogliastra give further charm. The coast extends for 12 kilometers. The long Marina of Tertenia is made up of enchanting beaches of light and soft sand, interspersed with rocky coasts: Foxi Manna, Foxi de Murdegu, s'Abba de is Marronis. Their waters are clear and of an iridescent blue.

Rich in historical evidence such as nuraghi, domus de janas, sacred sources, giants' tombs and menhirs, Ogliastra offers unique scenarios between clear waters and impervious mountains, demanding new, particular attention from the tourist, attentive to details, which know how to recognize and respect the intimacy and confidentiality of this region.
